6 months!

Yet, another month has so quickly passed by! Time never went this fast before I had the twins...here they are at 6 months!

I took them to get their six month pictures taken and my sweet Gracie didn't want any part of it. I think the bright flashes scare her. So, if at first you don't succeed then try, try again. Try again we did and were more successful. Thank you to my sister for going and helping. Ty was a stud and even though we still didn't get a picture of them smiling together, I am pleased with the shots I got.

Gracie Ann


Her stats: 13 lbs. 4 oz
24 and half inches
Healthy and cute as can be! She has become quite the giggler and loves to laugh at her daddy. She loves to be tickled, cuddled and sang to. She call roll from her tummy to back and has started eating squash and carrots.



Tyler Kevin


His stats: 17 lbs. 3 oz.
26 and a quarter inches
Also healthy and cute as can be. Ty is super strong and has been rolling around like crazy all month long. He wants to crawl so bad and is working on sitting up on his own. He loves to laugh, smile, talk, jump, and play with his toys. He has started saying "mama" and sometimes "baba".



Can you tell that I just love them so much! They are the light of our lives!

Rice Cereal

We started rice cereal a couple weeks ago and let me just say we are messy! It has now become part of our nightly routine which includes a bath immediately afterward. These are a few pictures from our early experiences. Ty seems to be catching on now, but Gracie is still hit and miss. Kev and I have had some good laughs feeding them though, especially when they decide to give their feet a cereal massage.

Gracie is so funny, she'll let me know when she doesn't want anymore.


At first when I gave Ty a spoonful he would put his thumb in his mouth right afterward to help it all stay in.

Must it be so hard?

So today I had the twins happily playing on the floor and was taking some pics of them with my phone. My mom sent me a message wanting me to email her a pic so she could put it as her background. I decided I would just try to get some pics of them both with my real camera. Lately I have taken alot of them individually so I really wanted to get a cute one of them together. Well after much effort and 10 attempts this is what I got. Here you go Mom! FYI, put the cursor on the pic and you can read the caption.

Although I didn't get the perfect picture of them together, all the pictures together are pretty perfect and certainly cute! But really I hope it gets easier to get a good picture.

5 months old...

The twins turned 5 months old last Friday, how can it be? Time just seems to go faster and faster. I wish I could freeze time sometimes so I could memorize each moment. Their first year progression is amazing. I love watching them grow and experience new things. I am so thankful for these two little ones and love being with them each day.

Back in July, we took the twins to get their three month pictures taken. Our first attempt was unsuccessful and we left with cranky babes. Round two went much better and I was happy with the results. Even though it is almost time for their six month pics I thought I would share these.

We couldn't get his big smile but my sweet Ty is still so cute.

Ballard Locks

Last Saturday we went up to see the Ballard Locks. It was a beautiful day and somewhat cooler than it had been. Ever since we moved to Washington three years ago we were told we needed to go see the Locks. They were quite interesting and incredible to see. The purpose of the Locks is to allow boats to pass through at the right elevation. Because the Puget Sound and Salmon Bay are different elevations they raise and lower the waters for a smooth passing.

Hot, Hot, Hot....

We have been experiencing record temperatures here in Washington in the last week. Therefore our recent activities have been sweating, sweating and more sweating. Normally I love the heat and would be all for it, however with the twins it just isn't that much fun. They have been good little sports and have endured it well. The nice thing is my laundry has decreased because I haven't put clothes on them in days :) It will be nice when we get back down into the 80's!











If we ever live in Arizona, we will have to have a pool. Although I think this heat wave has helped the economy a bit, air conditioners and fans have sold out of stores like crazy. Not to mention the need to escape the heat at an air conditioned restaurant! I love summer though!
