Rocking horse love

My sweet friend asked if we wanted her son's old rocking horse, so of course we said yes! And let me say that Gracie thinks this horse is just hers! She is very possessive of it and gets very upset if Ty tries to ride it. Gracie seems to have a love for horses, because we can't walk by a carousel without her whining to ride. This may be a foreshadowing of what she may want when she is older:)

Kevin always says she may be small but she has some definite sass! So true.


Gracie seems to love all animals and doesn't seem to be afraid of them. I am sure she will be asking for a pet in the near future.


She is such a sweet girl, unless her brother is trying to take her toys or is bugging her. We call her our picked on one. She is getting good at pushing him away though.

Haircut

Ty has been due for a haircut for a very long time now. Last weekend, we actually did it. We took him to a FunCuts place for kids and he HATED it! I didn't take any pictures of him during the haircut, mostly because I was trying to get him to calm down the entire time. Let me just tell you though, tears running down is face, snot coming out his nose, throwing the candy we gave him and lots of shaking of his head is what it looked like. Very traumatic for my little guy. Needless to say he was not happy with me all the ride home, but seemed to forgive me after he had woke from his nap.

And of course he looks so handsome, not at all like a baby but more like a little boy...sniff...sniff.

He just recently started saying "cheese" when I take his picture.


He makes me laugh everyday and makes being a Mommy so much fun.

7 years...

And there is nobody else that I love more than my Kev.

On the 27th of December we celebrated our anniversary. I have to say I love having an anniversary in December because there is just something magical about the month. However, we have quite the cluster of events with Kevin's birthday, then Christmas and then our anniversary. So by the time the 27th comes we are usually a little tired and definitely a little broke to do much celebrating.

We still did some though.

Thanks to our wonderful friends the Kays who watched Ty and Gracie, we headed to Seattle to eat at the Space Needle.


This was also the day when my sinus infection hit full force, but we still had a lovely time just the two the us, well three I mean.


The Space Needle was decorated for Christmas and this was right outside of it.


It wouldn't be our anniversary if it weren't for my beautiful 7 red roses.


Thanks to my sweet, caring, most wonderful husband! I love him so!

Happy Anniversary to all my fellow December anniversary friends! Someday lets all go on a cruise to celebrate together!

Christmas

Christmas morning is so much fun with kids! We had such a great time seeing Ty and Gracie get excited for their new toys. Of course they had no idea what to expect so they woke up at their normal time and weren't in any hurry to come downstairs. But as soon as Ty saw what Santa brought he flew down those stairs. Kev made us some yummy french toast for breakfast and then we opened gifts. The twinners wanted to play with each gift after they opened one, so our Christmas morning lasted a long time, which I enjoyed.

Santa came!


Gracie loves her slide that Santa brought her. She is my little climber and I am hoping this keeps her away from things she shouldn't be climbing on.


Ty enjoys the slide as well but likes to go up it instead.


Our stockings, somehow mine changed overnight and turned into a Ducks stocking!


Love my Ducks! They're number one in my book and we'll see what tomorrow brings!


My brothers were so nice to get us this awesome smoker! Yay for yummy food!

Ty was so cute when I put this new outfit on him from Grammy F., he really likes the jeans. Most of the time he wants to runaround in his diaper so it was a nice change.


They loved to lounge in their ball pit, Ty treated it as if he was soaking in a hot tub. It was so cute.


Now in their cute new pjs from Grandma and still playing away.


They had a great Christmas and have enjoyed playing with their new toys.


They did play with their other toys as well, I just put most of that on video. It was hard trying to get pictures and video of them all day. So my lack of pictures is due to more video time.

It was a wonderful day, spent playing, relaxing and creating our own family traditions.

Santa who?

While Kev's parents were here we took Ty and Gracie to see Santa at Nordstroms. I knew this event would likely end in tears, but I couldn't not get their picture on his lap. There was a line and while we were waiting I took Gracie up and showed her that other kids were sitting on Santa's lap. I tried to explain to her that she would be alright and everytime I tried she just shook her head no.

So, Kev was suppose to be in the picture as well, I am not sure how he put Ty on Santa's lap and jumped out of the picture so fast.


I think Santa looks just as frightened as they do! He was a very nice Santa though.


As you can see it did not get any better and they had no intentions of telling Santa
what they wanted for Christmas.


The torture I put them through, just to get a candy cane! A candy cane they very much enjoyed though! Maybe next year they will know who he is!

The BIG 30!

On December 15th Kev turned 30! We had a fun time celebrating his big day.

Kev came down to the dining room decorated just for him. There were 30 ribbons hanging from the ceiling all attached with a little note and almond roca.


I think he was a little sad to turn 30, but has since realized that it is really just a number.


Thanks to our great friends Mark and Courtney I was able to take Kevin out to dinner just the two of us. We had a great time eating fondue at the Melting Pot. Then we came home and did presents. Shoes!


I love this picture because Ty and Gracie were helping Kev blow out his candles, but they didn't want the candles anywhere near them.


Hope he made a good wish, because he blew them all out in one blow!

Time to Update....

Happy New Year!

Wow, December went by in a whirl of many events, as I am sure it did for you too. So it is time to catch up! I have quite alot of pictures to post so for my sanity I will do this multiple posts. But here is our December recap in words....

Our month began with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Fredrickson! It was great to see them and kick off our Christmas season. They were wonderful and gave Kev and I a date night, which we got to go see the new Harry Potter movie. It was a fast weekend but we spent it playing games, eating good food and getting Grandma loves. Ty and Gracie's new word from the weekend was "stinky" and the cutest thing was when Gracie would plug her nose and say it. Thanks Mom!

The next weekend we caught the cold bugs. Not fun for the twins and I who spent much of the next week blowing our noses. Just in time for Kev's 30th birthday too! A detailed post on that will come.

Grandma, Grandpa Jenkins and Uncle Steven came to play the third weekend. We were still trying to get over our colds but had lots of fun. Ty and Gracie were very excited to show off their "happy feet". They are extremely quick on their feet and love to kick, jump, hop, dance, skip, and run when they are excited. They opened their first Christmas presents from Uncle Steven and enjoyed the new pacifiers he got them. We went to Zoo lights and loved seeing all the different colors and designs. Gracie still enjoyed the carousel best and cried when we took her off.

And then it was Christmas! We were lucky to have my Dad get to come spend it with us and I was almost over my cold at this point. It was a great day. More to come!

What's after Christmas to celebrate? Our anniversary! Our 7th anniversary was on the 27th. Sadly that is the day my sinus infection came, but we still celebrated. Pics to come.

A wonderful month! A busy month! Alot of great memories, I did not capture them all on camera as I was sick for most of the month, but continue on for more detailed posts with pictures.
