Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

Dear Daddy,

This is our first Fathers Day together and we wanted you to know how special you are! We love you so much! We couldn't ask for a better daddy. Ever since we came out of mommy you have been there to take care of us. You play with us, you make us laugh, you bathe us. Sorry for all those times you had to get up with us at night in the first few weeks of our life. We just needed to eat so bad and mommy couldn't do it without you. You are always so kind and give us what we need. Thank you so much for making our first three months of life the best we could have ever hoped for. Have a great fathers day daddy! We love you so much!

On Sunday June 7th Tyler and Gracie were blessed by their daddy at church. It was perfect. I have waited for this day for quite awhile. I don't know how many times over the last few years I thought about my future baby's blessing. Little did I know it would be future babies blessing. It was such a special, spiritual moment for them, one never to be forgotten. I am so thankful for Kevin, he is such a wonderful man, whom I don't often deserve. The blessings were absolutely beautiful. Both were different and unique in their own way. I was crying from the beginning, I wasn't expecting that to happen. Ty and Gracie both did great, Ty even fell asleep by the end. They are such amazing babies. We love them so much and are so thankful for the joy they have brought us. It was a day filled with the spirit and lots of love. Thank you to those who shared it with us.

Growing, growing, growing...

We have had quite the busy month, but have had lots of fun watching Ty and Gracie grow. They are doing so well and we fall in love with them more and more each day. We feel so blessed to have them in our lives. There are just too many pictures to choose from so enjoy our slide show of pics from the month.

Trip to Oregon

We took our first trip together as a family of four this past weekend. My brother Nick was in town visiting from California and my sister Melissa came up from Eugene. Ty and Gracie did extremely well and we enjoyed having them meet family and friends. Thanks to all who came and saw them.

Catching up on sleep...

So, I am one of those people who loves their sleep. I have always been a go to bed late and sleep in type of person. There is something about not waking up to an alarm that just makes me smile when I get up. I tend to be a little cranky if I have to get up at a certain time or if I am woken up. Well then you can imagine that having two newborns has squashed my regular sleeping habits. I just think it is funny when people ask me now, "Are you getting any sleep?" Even though newborns on average sleep 18 hours a day, when you have two it doesn't mean they are sleeping the same 18 hours :) Although we are not getting much sleep, it doesn't seem to phase them...

A rarity for Ty, but sleeping in the swing does occur.


Gracie enjoys covering her eyes while she sleeps.

But mostly they just like to sleep in their mom and dad's bed. :)


Even though Kev and I are not getting much sleep, they are just too cute to care.
