Exciting moments...

So, I know what you are all thinking...she claims to love blogging and then I don't post anything for a month. Well thats what happens when your computer decides to go berserk! We still have yet to fix it, but luckily I may be able to post using Kevin's work computer.

Exciting moment number one was one I would like to forget...lets just say late night trip to the ER that didn't end until 3 in the morning. What is with ER's that make you wait forever! Yes, we had a bit of scare with some bleeding in my 13th week, which really makes me sad because 13 is my favorite number. But anyway, after 5 hours in the cold ER it was discovered that I had a small blood bubble below one of my placentas. We felt so blessed to be leaving the ER with both our babies still moving around and appearing to be fine. Nonetheless, very scary and my doctor put me on bed rest for the next week. This was not fun as I really didn't want to use my sick days so early. Oh well. I rested, I slept, I laid on the couch, Kevin took such good care of me.

Exciting moment number two was when a week later we went in for an ultrasound to check my blood bubble and the babies growth. They were so cute, kicking, flipping, high-fiving, drinking, yawning. It was the neatest thing. We felt so happy. Baby A measured in at 15 weeks 5 days and baby B measured in at 14 weeks 6 days. Yea both are growing!

Exciting moment number three was when the tech said she knew the sex of baby A! We were shocked as it was so early to tell. She made us guess and then at that moment baby A did a flip and it was crystal clear that he is definately a boy! Yea! We are thrilled. Baby b was a little shy and did not want to be bothered with that stuff:) So we have a boy and a mystery baby at the moment. Any guesses?

Exciting moment number four was the sunday I was laying on the couch and felt flutters! It has been the coolest feeling. They are only every once in awhile but I look forward to feeling them really kick in the next couple months.

Exciting moment number five is that I have been able to eat alot more in the last couple weeks. I still don't have strong desires for anything, but I love being able to eat more than rice and hot cereal. The nasuea still comes every once in awhile but mostly at night when I am real tired.

Overall, we feel greatly blessed this month and continue to pray that our babies grow and develop as they should. The blood bubble is so small the doctor is not worried about it. But I just pray that it just goes away.

Kevin and I are thrilled to announce that we are pregnant!



I thought that deserved its own line...we couldn't be more excited. But acually more news to share because...its twins!



Yes, you read that right we have been blessed with two! Like I said we are just estatic.



Our babies are officially expected to arrive April 3rd, but I am hoping and praying that I can make it to March. This makes us currently 13 weeks along and so happy to be moving on to the 2nd trimester. I hope to enjoy food during this next trimester. Kevin has taken such good care of me, I am so grateful to have him.



We have an ultrasound in a couple weeks where they will check their growth to make sure they are both growing and not just one. Our twins are fraternal. They say this is best kind to have since they have their own placenta. At our appointment on Monday we were able to hear both heartbeats which was the coolest thing ever! Then we decided we would start sharing our good news. However, I definately have a growing baby bump. It will be time for maternity clothes soon.



Again, we are just so thankful to be blessed with these two babies. It has been quite the journey to get here and we couldn't have done it without the love and support of our family and friends. Most of all we couldn't have gotten here without our heavenly father, well and good doctors but that's another entry for another day.



Right now we are just so happy to have this opportunity to become parents and pray that everything continues to go well.

Back to School and Football!

Wow! I know it has been awhile. I have been such a lazy blogger. I hope to do better in the Fall! Well, I have been back to school for almost two weeks now and I just have to say that I am looking forward to our next break. It is so hard to get up and get going in the morning. Usually by the time school has started I am a little more awake, it is just getting there that seems to be the challenge. I have loved seeing my old students that I have had in my class forever. However, the new ones I will hopefully grow to love. It is so difficult because most of my class knows me and I have them all trained. But then we get this new bunch of third graders and I get cranky with how much training they need! All in all it has been a successful start to the school year.

With the start of a new season comes the start of a new sport...."Are you ready for some Football?" We are! We love the football season. Kevin started his fantasy team and college football has already been fun to watch. Of course it is always a division in our house with me a Ducks fan and Kev a Huskies fan. But they already played the opening game of the season and of course it was exciting to watch the Ducks beat on the Huskies a little...okay maybe it was alot but who's keeping track :)

Moved!

Packing is not fun and unpacking is even less fun!

We just moved to a new apartment! We didn't move too far from where we use to be, but nonetheless it was still a move. Kevin is such a hardworker, he has done so much in the last couple weeks and just keeps going and going. The move went well though. We have been surrended by boxes for the last week. We'll get all settled eventually though. However, I know why people hire moving companies. Maybe next time!

I went down to Portland recently to go to a wedding with my sister. She asked me to be her date so I was excited to go with her. The fun thing was the wedding was the middle sister (Haley) of both Melissa's and I's best friends growing up. It was great to see the family again and nice to catch up with Alexis, who I hadn't seen in a long time. Melissa and Amanda have been friends since they were in pre-school. The wedding was very nice, it was outside in the evening at a place called the Heritage House. Haley looked beautiful and the weather was just perfect for them. Melissa and I had a great time together.

Hope you are having a great summer! We are loving the warm weather and it has been so fun to have Kevin around before he starts work on Monday. This last Saturday we saw the movie Iron Man and it was awesome. I loved it and recommend seeing it on the big screen. We finally saw Indiana Jones, I have never been an Indiana Jones fan I somehow get bored with them. However, I said I would go see it because Kevin likes them and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We went to the Mariners game last night and were disappointed in their performance ...tonights game was the one to go to because they came back in the 9th! Yea, go Mariners! All in all it has been a great start to the summer.

On Saturday June 14th Kevin graduated from the University of Washington with his masters of HealthCare Adminstration! He has been working so hard the last two years to earn this degree. I am so proud of him! Kevin is such a hard worker in general and I know he has enjoyed his last two years of school. He has made great friends within his program and has loved spending his days at the UW with them. I know he is going to miss school just a little bit. Now it is on to his administrative fellowship with the Fransican Health System based out of Tacoma. I know he will be so successful and will be a phenominal healthcare leader! Go Kev!
