Another month gone by!

Now that the twins are so mobile and incredibly busy it has become next to impossible to get good pics of them. And completely impossible to get a good pic of them together. However, we still try.

Here are some pics when we went down to Oregon for the week of Valentines Day. It was a nice week spent seeing my dad and sister, catching up with a couple friends, and alot of keeping Ty and Gracie away from Auntie's cat.

Kev and I got to go out for a very nice Valentines date thanks to my sister being the best auntie in the world. We love her and are so thankful for the love she shows our kids.


Ty is a busy boy, there is no other way to put it. He gets into everything and tries to destroy everything else. He is such a charmer and will put on a show when he knows you are watching. He took his first steps at my Dad's and has continued to work on his wobbly walking skills.


My little Gracie Ann. What can I say, she is everything a girl should be cute, sweet and has some major sass. She may be little but she holds her own. She loves to laugh and be tickled, and will chat your ear off.


We love to go see the temple when we are so close to it down in Oregon. It is my favorite temple and always will be.


We took the babes out for a Sunday stroll, just before it started to rain.


Other things we have enjoyed this month have been the Olympics. I don't like them as much as the summer ones, but I have enjoyed watching these especially when the US comes in first. We live in such a great country and it is fun to see the athletes represent us so well.

In my quiet time to myself I like to read and my favorite book this month was called The Help. I highly recommend it. We also saw the movie Dear John which I loved and Kev enjoyed it as well he said it wasn't too "chick flicky". It has been a good month! I am not ready for March because my babies turn 1, but I am looking forward to spring.

Best Friends

I have had many great Mommy moments over the last 11 months, but this one is very close to number 1.

The twins and I were driving to my hometown of Oregon City in my dad's truck a few days ago. It is easier to put Ty's car seat forward facing since it is so big, I don't feel too bad since he is over 20 lbs. So, Ty and Gracie were sitting facing each other and next to each other in the back. Well, I come to a red light and turn my head to check on my little ones and this is what I see....



My heart literally melted at that moment. I was so lucky to have my sisters camera right next to me. I am so grateful to have these two little ones to teach me about love. My heart is constantly full of love for them. What an amazing Mommy Moment.

All dressed up...

I was hoping to get the twins 9 month pictures taken last month, but never got a chance with their colds lingering along. I thought I would try and get a picture of them while they were all dressed up for church. Silly me! We are still working on looking at the camera. My little hams!

Raising little dentists?

The month of January has just flown by, what else is new? This has been the month of the runny nose. Anyone sick of wiping noses as much as me? I love these little noses, but they are not fun to wipe. Ty especially hates it and throws a big fit when he sees me coming with the kleenex. Poor guy. Gracie doesn't mind as much but she is all about licking it with her little tongue. Gross I know but true story. I will be glad when we go more than one week without dreading hearing them sneeze.

My sister came to visit last weekend and she helped me take Ty and Gracie to get their second doses of the flu shots. They did great and I put them on the scale to get a quick check of their weights. Ty weighed 21 lbs. 4oz, what a boy! Gracie weighed 16 lbs 12 oz, my little girl. At their 9 month check Ty's head was in the 90th percentile. All during my pregnancy they told me my son had a solid head, I guess they were right.

These pics are from the beginning of the month and I think they are so stinkin' cute. They usually want the same toy, so it was nice that they each had their own toothbrush. But funny that they decided to brush at the same time. I just love them!


Ty currently has his four top teeth and his two front bottom teeth. He also likes to grind his teeth.


My little Gracie girl just cut her first tooth on her 10 month mark.


I hope they always like to brush their teeth! What a good habit to start.

New Years

Bozeman is just three hours from Rigby, so we made the drive to see Kev's family for New Years. We were very blessed in having good weather for traveling and made it there without any problems. All of Kevin's brothers were able to come and visit as well.

My little bear! We got them all dressed in their snow outfits to go sledding. They were such good sports about it.

Kev had fun playing in the snow and sledding after I took the twins inside. Gracie stayed warm in her pink bunny outfit though.


It was so fun spending time with my little family. I love watching Kev with the babies.


I thought it was hard to get a picture of two little ones together. Here is my attempt at getting a picture of Ty and Gracie with their cousins Kaitlyn and Allyson. Ty is behind Kaitlyn just about to pull her hair, poor thing she took it so well though. Ty loved playing with Kaitlyn.


Just after we got to Rigby the snow started to fall and I don't think it stopped until after we left. It was a great little trip and we even got to see some friends we hadn't seen in awhile. Ty and Gracie did very well with all the traveling and I tried hard to keep them to their usual schedule. I have learned keeping them to their routine and naptimes is not only important for them but for me too:)

However, our schedule was ruined when our flight home ended up getting canceled midway through the flight due to mechanical difficulties. We spent the next 19 hours in three different airports and on planes. Not a fun day! We were suppose to get home at 9 in the morning so Kev could go to work and instead we got home at midnight! We met some nice people throughout the day and the twins did extraordinarily well. I became one of those moms I never thought I would be. I let my babies crawl around on the airport floor. I refuse to think about the germs they picked up and left for that matter. We all had colds too which didn't help my positive attitude. We got home safe though and this is what matters. It could have been worse. After we got home, I was carrying Ty through our house and I swear he couldn't stop smiling. It was good to be home!

On Christmas Eve, Ty and Gracie opened their first gift from us which was their Christmas pajamas. Then we got all packed and headed to the airport to catch our flight to Bozeman, Montana. It was a late flight and ended up being delayed about 25 minutes, but the twins did well. I was surprised but Gracie didn't clunk out until the last half hour of our flight. We got there at midnight and it was cold! We woke up in the morning to a beautiful white Christmas. The snow falling made the day feel even more magical. We had a great Christmas with my mom and stepdad. It was nice and relaxing. My camera's batteries died, so I don't have great pictures, I am still waiting for my mom to send me hers.

Ty and Gracie love Grandma's books and enjoyed Daddy reading to them.


Gracie enjoyed the bows on her gifts and of course loved the paper. She has a fascination with eating paper lately.


Ty enjoyed helping me make the sugar cookies. He also enjoyed tasting them after they were baked.


Daddy helped Ty open his gifts and then Ty helped Daddy open his! Thank you Grandma for Ty's much needed new clothes.


Ty became a Grandma's boy very quickly. He tried destroying everything in her house and even tried to eat and drink out of Maggie and Bob's bowls. (the dogs)


We played lots of games, watched movies, and ate lots of yummy food. Kevin and I got to go out for our anniversary since we had babysitters. We even did some after Christmas shopping, finding great deals on things for this next year. Our first Christmas with our little ones was so fun.

Christmas Adventures

I thought it was time to do some catch up on the holidays. So excuse all the posting, but I need to record these memories before I forget them. The weekend before Christmas, my dad came up and we celebrated Christmas with him.

Ty and Gracie were in heaven with all their new toys from Grandpa. I had to get this picture quick while they were kinda sharing. Ty always seems to want what Gracie has.

It has been so hard getting a picture of Ty since he is so mobile. So when I get one I like I have to share it.


We had a great weekend with my dad. I don't have a picture but he got me my Rose Bowl shirt supporting our Ducks. The Rose Bowl didn't go the way we wanted but I love my shirt. We also had a delicious dinner with him and I almost beat him at golf on the Wii. It was fun to have him up and we so appreciate him coming.
