Back in July, we took the twins to get their three month pictures taken. Our first attempt was unsuccessful and we left with cranky babes. Round two went much better and I was happy with the results. Even though it is almost time for their six month pics I thought I would share these.

We couldn't get his big smile but my sweet Ty is still so cute.

Ballard Locks

Last Saturday we went up to see the Ballard Locks. It was a beautiful day and somewhat cooler than it had been. Ever since we moved to Washington three years ago we were told we needed to go see the Locks. They were quite interesting and incredible to see. The purpose of the Locks is to allow boats to pass through at the right elevation. Because the Puget Sound and Salmon Bay are different elevations they raise and lower the waters for a smooth passing.

Hot, Hot, Hot....

We have been experiencing record temperatures here in Washington in the last week. Therefore our recent activities have been sweating, sweating and more sweating. Normally I love the heat and would be all for it, however with the twins it just isn't that much fun. They have been good little sports and have endured it well. The nice thing is my laundry has decreased because I haven't put clothes on them in days :) It will be nice when we get back down into the 80's!











If we ever live in Arizona, we will have to have a pool. Although I think this heat wave has helped the economy a bit, air conditioners and fans have sold out of stores like crazy. Not to mention the need to escape the heat at an air conditioned restaurant! I love summer though!

Loved it...

Kev and I went and saw Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. Thank you Nancy and Nicole for taking the twins so we could. It was the first movie we have gone to since they were born. Anyway, we loved it and were sad when it ended. It just makes me want to read the books again. It is so hard when the book is so full of detail, but I thought they did a great job.


My favorite is seeing these three together. Their chemistry is awesome and it has been fun seeing them grow up together. I think they get their characters just right.


I can't wait until the next one.

Fourth of July Fun!

At the last second we decided it would be fun to go to Idaho for the fourth. All of Kev's brothers were going to be in town and it had been a while since we had seen them. We flew to Salt Lake City Thursday night and the babies did great. I was very impressed with how well they did. Kevin's aunt Barbie was kind enough to pick us up from the airport and let us stay with her for the night. It was great catching up with them. Thanks Youngs! The next morning Kevin's dad came and drove us up to Rigby, where Kevin's family live. The twins got to meet their only cousins, Kaitlyn and Allyson. It was so fun to have them altogether, they are just two months younger than Allyson. We had a nice weekend catching up with friends and family, watching fireworks and relaxing. However, we learned very quickly 3 month olds and parades do not go together, Ty and Gracie hated the Menan parade, but did well at the fireworks. It was a great first family vacation!

Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

Dear Daddy,

This is our first Fathers Day together and we wanted you to know how special you are! We love you so much! We couldn't ask for a better daddy. Ever since we came out of mommy you have been there to take care of us. You play with us, you make us laugh, you bathe us. Sorry for all those times you had to get up with us at night in the first few weeks of our life. We just needed to eat so bad and mommy couldn't do it without you. You are always so kind and give us what we need. Thank you so much for making our first three months of life the best we could have ever hoped for. Have a great fathers day daddy! We love you so much!

On Sunday June 7th Tyler and Gracie were blessed by their daddy at church. It was perfect. I have waited for this day for quite awhile. I don't know how many times over the last few years I thought about my future baby's blessing. Little did I know it would be future babies blessing. It was such a special, spiritual moment for them, one never to be forgotten. I am so thankful for Kevin, he is such a wonderful man, whom I don't often deserve. The blessings were absolutely beautiful. Both were different and unique in their own way. I was crying from the beginning, I wasn't expecting that to happen. Ty and Gracie both did great, Ty even fell asleep by the end. They are such amazing babies. We love them so much and are so thankful for the joy they have brought us. It was a day filled with the spirit and lots of love. Thank you to those who shared it with us.
