28 weeks...

It feels so good to be at 28 weeks! We had a ultrasound last week and are happy to report that both babies look good and are growing at thier rate. YEA! They were both in the breech position for the first time, but by the end of the appt. our son had moved to head down again. So who knows what their ending position will be. We are very excited and are hoping they stay in there for at least 8 more weeks. I am currently still working but also taking it easy. Hopefully I can work for a couple more weeks, we'll just have to see. I love being pregnant and it is always the best feeling to feel them move around. We very often play "guess that body part" when there seems to be one poking out. So fun!

Five Fabulous Years...

Five years ago today Kevin and I were married in the most beautiful temple for time and all eternity and today I couldn't be happier. Happy Anniversary to my best friend, my rock, my everything...my eternal companion Kevin.

I thought I would share a few memories from our five fabulous years:

1st year: Definately the adjustment year, but nonetheless fun. We started off in Rexburg where I would stomp through the snow and barely make it to class. Kev worked in the book store in the technology department. We moved to Idaho Falls and lived with his Grandma for a month. Then we moved to Rigby and lived next to his parents. We both went to school, Kev also took classes in Pocatello to get his Real Estate license. I worked at a daycare. Busy we were!

2nd year: The highlights for me this year were when I graduated with my bachelors degree in April and then was offered a fourth grade teaching postition over the summer. Yes, it was then I became Kev's "sugar mama". Kev was busy with school and graduated in December, but was also selling real estate. This was a great year for us, having fun with friends and going on lots of dates.

3rd year: The year of change! Kev was accepted to the University of Washington masters program and so we made the move to the Pacific Northwest in August. I started teaching my multiage class which was extremely overwheming at first. I wouldn't have made it without Kevin's help. This was a year of much heartache, loss and personal growth for us, which helped us grow together as well.

4th year: We did much exploring this year. Kev settled well into school and had fun with his friends. I too settled into my new school and loved working there. Over the summer Kevin did an internship in Logan, Utah, so we lived with his aunt and her family in Farmington. This was a great experience and one we will always remember with fondness. Also a year with much heartache but much happiness too.

5th year: Our celebration year! Kevin graduated with his masters of healthcare administration degree and then began his fellowship. Soon after this we found out our family of two would be doubling to four. This has been a year of much faith and hope for us.

What a journey we are on! A journey that at times feels like a roller coaster, but there is no one I would rather ride with than Kevin. I have learned alot in the last five years and hope to learn lots more in the years to come. But there is one thing I am sure of and that is there is no greater gift than that of an eternal marriage. I am so thankful for that wonderful day five years ago.

Thank you for letting me reflect a little and be a little mushy. Here's to the wonderful gift that marriage can be.

Washington Winter Wonderland

It has been quite the week for Washington...I am not sure they have known exactly how to handle all this winter weather. It all started last weekend when it started getting real cold and then we woke up to snow Sunday morning. There wasn't alot of snow but enough to cancel church. Then we had a two hour late start for school on Monday due to some icy conditions. It wasn't too bad though. It didn't stop Kevin and I from celebrating his birthday.

Yep, he turned 28 on December 15th, he likes to think of himself as a sweet Christmas baby. His mom tells the story of him coming home in a Christmas sock. It is rather cute. But he had a great birthday. At work they sang to him and ate cake. Then we went to one of his favorite restaurants, PF Changs and thanks to my sister ate very well. It was an excellent evening and our friend Josh was able to join us. Happy 28th Birthday Kev! I love you!

On Tuesday we had another two hour late start at school and then it was that night that the snow rolled in. We got snow for the next two days which led to no school for the rest of the week! Gotta love snow days! Friday it was rather calm, but the snow came once again on Saturday. Which leads me to today when the snow just continued to fall, so no church yet again.

It is beautiful and since we are staying here for Christmas, it mine as well be white! But good luck to all the travelers out there....be safe.

Thanksgiving with family and friends...

Jandi and I have tons of pictures of us at college together and now we have our prego pictures together. It was so nice seeing her and Kenny over the weekend. We look forward to meeting little baby Ludwig soon.


It was great spending time with my brother Chris, he is so sweet. I am so glad he was able to leave the sunshine for a few days and come feast with us. We love you Chris!

My favorite girl ever! I love spending time with my sister Melissa and am always happy to spend the holidays with her. We made our yummy rolls together and then we went to see Twilight. I wouldn't have wanted to see it with anyone else. She is going to be the best auntie and has already spoiled her neice and nephew. We are so grateful for her and love her lots.

Three out of Four not bad! We missed you Nick. Kevin and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are so thankful for our family and friends.

Mystery baby...no longer a mystery!

This last Tuesday instead of watching all the fun election coverage, we were busy looking at our babies. It was confirmed yet again that baby A is indeed a boy....no surprise there. We were happy to see him healthy and strong.

But to end the suspense....we are very pleased to announce that our baby boy has a very cute little sister!

Yep, we feel extremely blessed to be having a boy and a girl. Kevin of course guessed that baby b was a girl, I on the other hand was kind of expecting to see another boy. So I guess his motherly intuition is more on than mine right now.

Our little girl is just wonderful, although little compared to our baby boy. This concerns the doctor since he would like to see them closer together in size. We are praying that she stays strong and continues to grow. I am confident that she is just little and will be fine. I am sure that her big brother is watching out for her:)

Halloween Fun...

Sorry this is rather late for a Halloween post, but I still wanted to share some pictures of our fun fall event. One beautiful, sunny Saturday we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out 4 pumpkins. We carved them the following Saturday. So here is our little pumpkin family.

Kev carved the two on the left and I carved the two on the right.

We had a great halloween with no trick or treaters which left all the candy for us to enjoy:)

Exciting moments...

So, I know what you are all thinking...she claims to love blogging and then I don't post anything for a month. Well thats what happens when your computer decides to go berserk! We still have yet to fix it, but luckily I may be able to post using Kevin's work computer.

Exciting moment number one was one I would like to forget...lets just say late night trip to the ER that didn't end until 3 in the morning. What is with ER's that make you wait forever! Yes, we had a bit of scare with some bleeding in my 13th week, which really makes me sad because 13 is my favorite number. But anyway, after 5 hours in the cold ER it was discovered that I had a small blood bubble below one of my placentas. We felt so blessed to be leaving the ER with both our babies still moving around and appearing to be fine. Nonetheless, very scary and my doctor put me on bed rest for the next week. This was not fun as I really didn't want to use my sick days so early. Oh well. I rested, I slept, I laid on the couch, Kevin took such good care of me.

Exciting moment number two was when a week later we went in for an ultrasound to check my blood bubble and the babies growth. They were so cute, kicking, flipping, high-fiving, drinking, yawning. It was the neatest thing. We felt so happy. Baby A measured in at 15 weeks 5 days and baby B measured in at 14 weeks 6 days. Yea both are growing!

Exciting moment number three was when the tech said she knew the sex of baby A! We were shocked as it was so early to tell. She made us guess and then at that moment baby A did a flip and it was crystal clear that he is definately a boy! Yea! We are thrilled. Baby b was a little shy and did not want to be bothered with that stuff:) So we have a boy and a mystery baby at the moment. Any guesses?

Exciting moment number four was the sunday I was laying on the couch and felt flutters! It has been the coolest feeling. They are only every once in awhile but I look forward to feeling them really kick in the next couple months.

Exciting moment number five is that I have been able to eat alot more in the last couple weeks. I still don't have strong desires for anything, but I love being able to eat more than rice and hot cereal. The nasuea still comes every once in awhile but mostly at night when I am real tired.

Overall, we feel greatly blessed this month and continue to pray that our babies grow and develop as they should. The blood bubble is so small the doctor is not worried about it. But I just pray that it just goes away.
